Excitement Builds Up as 2013 NFL Draft Draws Near

According to recently released reports on the NFL, the tentative date of announcement has been set on April 16. There's also another report circulating that the 2013 NFL draft will be organized from April 25-27 and its venue will be in the Radio City Music Hall in New York. In any case, April is the month that NFL followers would come to know about the schedule of their favorite sports. Only a couple of weeks more to go! While the excitement builds up, we will provide you a roundup regarding whatever info available regarding how this year's NFL games will look like.

1) The Hall of Fame Game: It's supposed to be held on August 4 at the Fawcett stadium in Canton, OH. This annual preseason Kick off game would feature the Dallas Cowboys and the Miami Dolphins. NBC has the national television rights for the game.

2) The NFL kickoff game: The Kickoff game timing has been tentatively set on Thursday, September 5, 8.35 pm EDT on the NBC. The visiting team would be the Baltimore Ravens who won the Super Bowl XLVII as there has been a scheduling conflict with Baltimore Orioles, their Major League baseball counterparts. (The conflict had arisen due to the sharing of the same parking lot between the stadiums of the Ravens and the Orioles.) The possible opponents of the Raven's include the Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns, Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears, Denver Broncos and the Detroit Lions. The possibility of Cincinnati Bengals hosting the Ravens has been ruled out because the Bengals too have the same NFL schedule conflict with Cincinnati Reds, their Major League baseball counterparts.

3) The International series: The Wembley Stadium in London, England would be the venue for the international games. On September 29, the Minnesota Vikings would be hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers. The next international game has been scheduled on October 27, where the Jacksonville Jaguars would play host to San Francisco 49ers. These games would be aired on CBS and Fox respectively.

4) The Thanksgiving classics: These games are scheduled to be held on Thursday, November 28. The Detroit Lions would be hosting a NFC team. The possible NFC teams are Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, New York Giants, Minnesota Vikings or the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This game would be aired on Fox. The Dallas Cowboys would be hosting an AFC team, either the Oakland Raiders or the Denver Broncos. This game would be available on CBS.

5) Bills Toronto Series: A deal was struck between Buffalo Bills and Roger Communications on January 29 this year for a five year series extension. This series features one home game every year at the Roger's Center in Toronto. The date and opponent of this game are yet to be decided. However, fans would have to wait no further than April for getting the final news of this game in the NFL schedule.

6) Playoffs: After the last regular season games culminate after Sunday, December 29, the playoffs are scheduled to begin from Saturday, January 4 next year.

These data on the NFL schedule would give you an idea of the games to be held this year. It's only a couple of weeks more to April 16th when the entire regular season schedule would be announced. Check out the NFL Schedule at StubHub!
